Taking forward the planned Poynton relief road is an urgent priority. We need clear action plans for flood management in Poynton, Bollington and Kettleshulme, and faster broadband in our rural communities.
Having actively campaigned for many years for the Poynton Relief Road, local MP, David Rutley, and local Poynton Councillors have strongly welcomed the news that work will start on this much-needed infrastructure project in the autumn.
Tackling traffic congestion in Poynton is a clear priority. That’s why I have been campaigning with local Cheshire East Councillor’s for a relief road for many years. Positive progress is being made and we are pressing for work to commence next year.

The Secretary of State for Transport, the Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP, has approved the Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) for land for the Poynton Relief Road, bringing this vital project for Poynton residents one step closer to being realised.
