Partnership working and community outreach is at the heart of the King’s School’s ‘Reaching Out’ 2023 report and it was at the top of the agenda when Macclesfield MP, David Rutley met with Jason Slack, Head of the King’s School.

Ahead of His Majesty King Charles III’s Coronation, David Rutley MP, visited The Flower Pot Family Pub and Restaurant in Macclesfield to celebrate Robinsons Brewery’s limited edition Coronation ale.

Members of local campaign group, Friends of Poynton Pool, recently met with Macclesfield MP, David Rutley, to discuss their continued concerns with Cheshire East Council’s proposed plans to remove up to 100 trees as part of the Poynton Pool spillway proposals.

During a walk on the trails in Macclesfield Forest, local MP, David Rutley, had the opportunity to meet, Phil Mulligan, the new Chief Executive of the Peak District National Park Authority, to discuss his priorities and future plans for the National Park.

Showcasing their fantastic Easter bonnets and boaters in their parade was a highlight of Poynton Golden Memories’ celebration for Easter and David Rutley, MP for Macclesfield had the honour of choosing the top three bonnets.

I was very disappointed to hear about the recent news on Arriva’s proposal to close their bus depots in Macclesfield and Winsford, withdrawing their services in the towns, as well as other surrounding communities.

Regenerating Macclesfield town centre continues to be a key priority for local MP, David Rutley. While recently meeting with independent traders on Chestergate, David saw first-hand the positive work they have been doing to help boost the local economy.
