David Rutley MP - all in a day’s work for his local hospital

On Thursday 14 November, David Rutley, MP for Macclesfield spent a working day at Macclesfield District General Hospital with staff and patients. David observed in the A and E department, Medical Assessment Unit and Older People’s Ward. He also spent time with staff and patients in one of the hospital wards, the surgical admissions lounge and Endoscopy unit.

We Deliver Local Supporting Macclesfield Businesses

As an advocate of local independent retailers, David Rutley has welcomed We Deliver Local to Macclesfield. David was at The Corner Plot shop on Park Lane to show his support of the We Deliver Local initiative. The shop stocks fresh local fruit and vegetables, and is the vision of Anna and Robert Carey.

Good Progress at Ivy Bank Primary School

Macclesfield MP has visited Ivy Bank Primary School to learn more about the progress being made at the school and how well it is supporting children with special educational needs. During his time at Ivy Bank, David spoke in the school assembly and also spent time touring the school. He was impressed by how hard the children were working, the positive atmosphere and the obvious dedication shown by the staff.
