David Rutley MP joined staff and students at discuss Macclesfield College’s strategic plans and highlight its successes with apprenticeships. The meeting was held in the College’s Silk Room Restaurant.
At his meeting with Simon Andrews, Principal, and Anne Thomson, Chair of the Corporation, Macclesfield’s MP found out more about the wide range of apprenticeships on offers at the College. Apprentices are able to benefit from the College’s strong relationships with local employers, and from its onsite facilities. The meeting was held in the Silk Room Restaurant at the College, during a delicious lunch prepared by students.
Apprenticeships are a popular choice for those looking to take their first steps towards employment in Macclesfield. Since 2010, the number of local apprentices has increased by 36 per cent from 380 to 520. The College has successfully worked to support both apprentices and those looking to take on apprentices in recent years. Apprenticeships can be taken up to degree level equivalent and offer a chance to earn while apprentices learn.
