David Rutley, Member of Parliament for Macclesfield, paid a visit to the latest branch of Butters John Bee estate agents, which recently opened to show his support for the decision to move to Mill Street, in Macclesfield.
David was given a tour of the recently opened office, and discussed with branch manager, Stefan Millington, how successful businesses can play a vital role in helping to revitalise the high street in Macclesfield. He also discussed the current condition of the property market in Cheshire.
The Mill Street branch is Butters John Bee’s sixteenth branch, with the business headquarters being based in Stoke-on-Trent, and operating across Cheshire and Staffordshire.
The revitalisation of Mill Street remains an essential part of ongoing plans to regenerate Macclesfield town centre. There have been recent positive signs of a growing interest in the town centre, with PR Jones jewellers opening a new shop in the Market Place, and Donald Massey jewellers currently working on plans for a larger shop in the Market Place, as well.
Speaking after the visit, David said, “I am really pleased to see Butters John Bee give Mill Street, and the high street in general, a real vote of confidence by setting up their new branch here. Mill Street is an important part of Macclesfield town centre, and I am keen to see more businesses locate there in the months ahead. The move demonstrates the potential in the area, and I wish Stefan and his team every success.”
