David Rutley, the Member of Parliament for Macclesfield, helped kick off the Christmas season at Lostock Hall Primary School, when he opened the Christmas fair.
Held on Friday evening, following last year’s successful switch to this time from the previous Saturday morning slot, pupils, teachers and parents were more than happy to stay late for once! They were able to enjoy a cake sale, raffle, games and much more. The PTA were pleased that they were able to use their calculators when totting up the total raised, as it was announced as £1,336.70.
The funds in previous years have helped contribute towards the provision of new books for the school, and also towards improve school security.
Speaking after opening the fair, David said, “As ever, it was great to be able to attend and open the Lostock Hall Fair, which has raised much appreciated funds for the School. I would like to thank the PTA and all who helped to put together such a successful and well attended event.”
