David Rutley MP enrolled at the Pop Up Business School when Peaks & Plains brought it to Macclesfield.
The Pop Up Business School works in association with local housing associations to excite, inspire and empower individuals to start their own businesses.
The Business School was open from 22nd April to 2nd May at Macclesfield Football Club. Peaks and Plains sponsored the event and initially invited their tenants and then others who have an interest in starting a business. The Pop Up School concentrates on helping people get the self-confidence to take forward their business ideas and then get the business up and running, particularly through social media. Some participants find that they are receiving orders for their business after only a week at the Business School.
David, a long term advocate of supporting first-time entrepeneurs, said, “It’s good to see Peaks & Plains with the Pop Up Business School help people take the first steps towards running their own business. Self employment can be empowering and allows people greater freedom over their work. I was really impressed by what I saw at the Pop Up School and hope that the students will have every success going forward.”
