Park Mount Residential Care Home in Macclesfield has expanded into new premises with a Respite Care Home on Keele Crescent, and local MP, David Rutley, joined residents and staff for the official opening recently.
On his visit, David was given a tour of the new premises by Mrs Jennifer Trotter, Chief Executive of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters, which owns and operates Park Mount Residential Care Home. He also had the opportunity to meet with residents and the construction company staff that refurbished the premises.
David was impressed to see the facilities available for residents at Keele Crescent, which has been fully refurbished from private residential use to accommodate six residents requiring respite care. Every room is fully equipped, and there are also assisted bathing facilities, a large and open living room, and a kitchen and dining area.
The home can offer individual day care, days, weekends, weeks and months in any grouping, designed to suit the needs of the resident, and their family. The home's sister site in Park Mount Drive provides accommodation for forty residents in a purpose-built and recently-refurbished residential care home.
Speaking after the event, David said, "It was good to join residents and staff from Keele Crescent Respite Care Home for this special occasion to celebrate the opening of the new premises. I was impressed to see the facilities available to support residents with a range of health and care needs and the commitment of the home's staff. I wish all at Keele Crescent well for the future."
