Macclesfield MP David Rutley met recently with representatives from NatWest to discuss the support available for local small businesses.
During the meeting, which took place on 28th October, David spoke with Geoff Longden, Business Growth Enabler, and Chris Hutchison, Director of Business Banking, to learn more about how the bank and other business leaders are supporting local businesses in and around Macclesfield.
NatWest has recently created the role of Business Growth Enabler to facilitate the growth of businesses up and down the country. In his role, Geoff works with the local business community, connecting new and existing customers with relevant internal and external services to help them meet their business growth needs. He also supports entrepreneurial activity by building strong internal and external networks to maximise the opportunities for businesses within the local market.
Geoff said: “It was a pleasure to meet David and discuss ways in which we can work together to support Macclesfield and the surrounding areas in business growth and development. The area has a vibrant business network with partners who are committed to seeing it prosper.”
After the meeting David said: “We are fortunate to have a strong entrepreneurial spirit in Macclesfield, and that is something that we should take pride in. I would like to thank Geoff and Chris for all their hard work in supporting local businesses. Small businesses are vital to our local economy so providing them with the best advice and support is an important task.”
