The recent improvements noted by Ofsted at Poynton High School have been applauded by local Member of Parliament, David, when he visited the School to catch up on recent developments, including its new restaurant.
The School received a “Good” rating in its December 2015 inspection, and noted significant improvements in progress at the school since Ofsted’s previous visit. During the visit, David met with Headteacher, David Waugh, to discuss the inspection report, and what work the School is doing to continue to build on its positive recent progress.
During David’s visit, he took a tour of the School’s facilities and visited the new restaurant, which caters for 700 pupils a day. It has proved to be popular with pupils and helps promote the School’s Healthy Living initiative.
Following the visit, David said, “The recent positive Ofsted inspection report is encouraging news and I would like to congratulate all pupils, staff and governors on this real achievement. It is good to see the School making continued positive progress, and I look forward to keeping in touch with Mr Waugh and the School in the months ahead.”
