Macclesfield MP David Rutley joined over thirty Poynton business owners and managers to talk shop at the latest Poynton In Business breakfast meeting.
David, who has a strong background in business, addressed the Breakfast. He discussed the positive reputation that Poynton and its business community enjoys. He also endorsed the Poynton In Business group as a means of encouraging local trade and having a voice to represent the interests of Poynton’s business community.
Those attending also heard about the Poynton In Business Directory, which provides a comprehensive listing of all businesses in the village. It is hoped that the Directory will become the preferred point of reference for residents and businesses looking to “Shop Local.” The Directory currently lists over 230 businesses and is free to use at www.poyntoninbusiness.co.uk.
David said, “We all know that Poynton is a great place to do business and I am pleased that this message is being heard loud and clear across Cheshire and further afield. Poynton in Business is a great way to support and represent our local businesses. I hope more people will turn to the Poynton In Business directory as their first port of call when looking to do business.”
Richard Holland, Operations Manager at the Town Council said, “There are over 200 businesses of all types and sizes in Poynton, but it’s amazing how many people don’t know what is available on their own doorstep. The Poynton In Business Directory will be a fantastic way to raise awareness of what Poynton has to offer.”
