Students and members of the public had the opportunity to discover a world of jobs, apprenticeships and further learning at Macclesfield College’s recent Careers Fair. The College hosted the popular event which featured local businesses and organisations offering advice on various career paths and training options.
Employers such as Barclays, McCann Manchester and the RAF amongst many others attended alongside Macclesfield College’s team of learning and training experts to help those who were looking for local job opportunities, apprenticeship vacancies, options after GCSEs or progression onto degree-level qualifications.
Macclesfield MP David Rutley also came along to lend his support and praised the event, “It’s fantastic to see so many visitors and exhibitors who are supporting apprenticeships at the College’s Careers Fair. I would certainly encourage every young person who is thinking about the future and hasn’t made their mind up to find out what the options are that are available in apprenticeships, as I think they will be pleased to see the opportunities on offer.”
Dawn Ridehalgh, the College’s Head of Business Development, said, “There is a tremendous range of opportunities available for young people in the local area it was great to see so many businesses and industry sectors supporting our Careers Fair. Opportunities such as apprenticeships enable young people to earn as they learn and represent a worthwhile route to a career of your choice.”
