Mayor's Prayer Breakfast Showcases Hope Initiatives

The Mayor of Macclesfield, Councillor Janet Jackson, hosted the seventh annual Prayer Breakfast in the Assembly Room of Macclesfield Town Hall on Friday 27th February organised by Hope in North East Cheshire.  This was attended by local MP David Rutley and some eighty representatives of Christian organisations and their guests. 

MP Organises Public Meeting On Macclesfield Town Centre

Local MP, David Rutley, has organised a public meeting on Thursday 26th March to enable local traders and local residents to find out more about future options for Macclesfield town centre, following Debenham’s decision not to go ahead with the Silk Street development.

Puss Bank Nursery Welcomes Two Year Olds

David Rutley MP visited Puss Bank School to open its new Nursery extension this week. Puss Bank Nursery has extended its facilities to welcome two year old children for the first time. David toured the nursery facilities with Nursery Manager Lucy Bradley, Headteacher Kathy Nichol, parents and school governors. He also helped the children make a banner to decorate the new area.

A successful local scheme which offers support to older people who want to live independently, Live At Home, is looking for more volunteers to assist with their services, with the local Member of Parliament, David Rutley, adding his support for the project.

Audiences of proud parents, thankful teachers and delighted dignitaries joined in a memorable festival of musical talent as The Macclesfield Academy hosted a reborn Schools’ Music Festival on Wednesday and Thursday night last week. The Academy was pleased to welcome David Rutley MP and Councillor Wesley Fitzgerald, Mayor of Cheshire East along with audiences of several hundred as children from sixteen primary schools and four secondary schools performed an eclectic mix of musical pieces.
