Macclesfield MP David Rutley is looking forward to marking the 50th anniversary of the Bollington Festival.
The seventeen day festival kicks off on 16th May with a host of events covering everything from drama and dance to science and sport. Some highlights of the Festival will include performances from local groups including the Festival Players, the Festival Orchestra and the Festival Music Theatre. Other family fun will include a parade on Saturday 17th May, a party and let’s not forget the fell race.
David, who is looking forward to attending the Festival, said, “The Bollington Festival promises to be fun packed this year. It is good to see that after 50 years it is going from strength to strength and has something to offer for all the family. I am looking forward to attending the festival and would encourage residents and visitors alike to get involved in the festivities.”
